Sunday Night Blues {seven} Ways to Beat 'Em

While on Facebook this morning, waiting for my hubs to get ready for church, I came across a great article for teachers! It was some helpful information for me since I am always running out of school to pick up my lil man on Friday afternoons. It was also a great read since we have been off since December 20! I am SO ready to go back! Click on the picture for a link to the article!

{January} Currently

Linking up with Oh Boy 3rd Grade! for the January Currently!

Oh my goodness I haven't posted in SIX MONTHS!! The good news is I finished my masters and will be graduating with a degree in Elementary School Counseling with a 4.0. I worked hard - it was hard - and now I am DONE!
Listening: My two year old son received several Leap Frog Toys for Christmas. He already knows all of his letters and several letter sounds. Yes, part of it is because he is a teacher's child. Part of it is because he goes to an AMAZING preschool academy. But I also attribute much of it to the types of toys we buy him/let him have.
Loving: Feeling our daughter kick and turn. I am 27 weeks pregnant with a little lady. This is my favorite part of pregnancy because she is so active, but I am not too uncomfortable yet.
I already have oodles of fun activities planned for my third grade sweets when we return from break on Tuesday. No worries, I plan to share!
More time off with my family! It is hard to spend so much time, especially with lil man, and have to face the real world and go back. Yes, I miss my kiddos, but I also love time with my family.
Although I love being home, I also need a routine. The house is a disaster zone, and I am pretty sure I am gaining weight that has NOTHING to do with his baby! I need some schedule goodness in my life!
Every winter break I take a bubble bath every day. Yes, every day. It is so relaxing. I usually do this when lil man is napping. I take my phone and Pinterest it up! I love this 'me' time.
Now that I am finished with my masters program, I will certainly be on here much, much more. I haven't actually made anything in quite awhile for the classroom, but I will still share the goodness I find through others' blogs (linking up of course!) and Pinterest. I am SO happy to be back!

July Currently

It has been a hot minute since I have posted in this blog! Probably because I have been busy helping my friends become debt-free in my other blog, Magnificent Mama and Teacher on a Budget!

Anyway, I am linking up with Farley at Oh Boy, 4th Grade. I absolutely LOVE her and her blog! I can't even imagine meeting her in person. She is probably a riot to hang out with!

Listening: Yes, I am listening to Duke {my 3 month old Shih Tzu fluff ball} chew on one of my son's old shoes. It prevents him from chewing on anything else since he doesn't like the adorable puppy toys be bought him!

Loving: It has been in the low 80's the past few days and I LOVE it! Lil man and I are able to spend more time outside doing what 2 year olds love... picking mommy's flowers, playing with sticks, and swinging. Tee hee. It is absolutely true that I can't wait to plop down in the baby pool of his when the weather gets above 90 again!

Thinking: That ice cream is down right calling my name, but I try not to eat after 7PM... I may be breaking that rule {tonight}

Wanting: It is true. The month has come for hubs and I to try for another. Little man is 2 and ready for a partner in future siblingly crimes. Unfortunately, we have to go through my fabu doctor for such things ~ so an April baby it shall be ~ fingers {and toes} crossed!

Needing: Ah, yes, the Praxis. This is the Missouri state test I will need to pass in order to become an elementary school counselor. I hear it is tough, and I am scared!

Tips, Tricks, or Hints: I say be yourself because all to often I think the internet is a place where people can build false lives. I think it is important to not lose your identity in any of it. This is part of the reason I love these currently posts so much.

Don't forget to link up! Cheers!

Meeting Log {freebie}

A post from my {now} family blog: Magnificent Mama and Teacher on a Budget.

Happy Monday blog readers! I tell you what, I am having a difficult time pulling myself out of bed in the mornings. I am glad to be back though. I missed my smart cookies (as I call my students). I also missed the routine I need so badly in my life. As promised, this is a school post. One of my goals is to post twice weekly.

If your district is like mine, we are required to keep detailed notes in our meetings to make sure we are following our professional development guidelines. Last night, I was typing up some meeting notes from December that I had fallen behind on, and I decided the meeting notes page I created is perfect to share. Of course I have taken our particular guidelines off so it is versatile. I would love feed back on how I might improve it for everyone! Click on the picture to snag it!

Being the budgeting diva I am, it is free to you (debt-free is the way to be!) as most of my TpT items will be.

I hope you like it!

January Writing

Here is another post from my {now} family blog, Magnificent Mama and Teacher on a Budget.

It was time I updated my daily 5 writing center since it is a new year! Click on the image below to snag my January writing tic-tac-toe on TpT. This is great for Differentiated Instruction. My kiddos LOVE these and the choices they have (I have them do three, but not necessarily in a row). I hope your kiddos love it just as much! First person to comment will receive this item FREE!

This week is already crazy, as my new class started in grad school. From what I understand, this is the most difficult class in the program. I am thankful to be blessed with a wonderful, supportive husband who is willing to take care of our little guy while I get through this year. I graduate in December with my MAC (masters in counseling)... I am so excited! It cannot come soon enough!
